Tolu Arokodare transfer update: Wolves say no to Fiorentina as Super Eagles striker snubs Trabzonspor

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly rejected an approach from Italian side Fiorentina for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, while the Super Eagles forward is also said to have ruled out a potential move to Turkish club Trabzonspor, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano

Arokodare has continued to attract transfer interest despite enduring a difficult debut campaign in the Premier League following his move to Wolves from Belgian side Genk last summer.

The 25-year-old arrived at Molineux after an outstanding spell in Belgium but struggled to reproduce the same form in England, finding it difficult to adapt to the pace, physicality and tactical demands of the Premier League.

The Nigerian international scored three goals and registered one assist in 33 league appearances as Wolves endured a disappointing season that ended in relegation to the Championship.

Despite his underwhelming campaign, Arokodare remains a player of interest to several European clubs, with speculation over his future intensifying as the summer transfer window gathers momentum.

Wolves have rejected Fiorentina's offer for the Nigerian striker, signalling the club's reluctance to part ways with him under the current terms.

Trabzonspor are among the clubs monitoring the striker's situation, but  Arokodare has no interest in joining the Black Sea Storm.

With Wolves preparing for life in the Championship, Arokodare is expected to continue assessing his options as he seeks to resolve his future before the start of the 2026/27 season.

The Super Eagles forward will be eager to secure a move that offers him the opportunity to return to top-flight football and revive the impressive form that earned him a switch from Belgium to the Premier League.
