Turkish pundit Serdar Ali Çelikler has thrown his support behind Galatasaray's reported pursuit of Burnley midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, describing him as a physically imposing presence who could transform the club's midfield.
Ugochukwu, who found opportunities limited during his spell at Chelsea, enjoyed an impressive campaign with Burnley despite the club's relegation from the Premier League.
The 22-year-old stood out with a series of commanding performances, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 35 league appearances.
Speaking on the Neo Spor YouTube channel, Çelikler hailed the French midfielder's physical presence, describing him as an ideal addition to Galatasaray's midfield.
He added that a trio of Dani Olmo, Tijjani Reijnders and Ugochukwu would be "very interesting," stressing that the blend of creativity, energy and physicality would give the Turkish champions a well-balanced midfield.
"I watched Lesley Ugochukwu. You'd be scared just walking past him. Olmo, Reijnders, and Lesley would make a very interesting lineup," Çelikler said via Habersarikirmizi.
Ugochukwu emerged as a key transfer target for Galatasaray after impressing during his loan spell with Burnley in the Premier League last season.
The Turkish champions are keen to secure the midfielder's signature as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
