Trabzonspor working on loan deal for Wolves' Super Eagles striker

Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor are working on a loan deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Tolu Arokodare as they look to add more firepower to their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, according to a report by Takagazete.

The Black Sea club have identified the Nigerian striker as a key target and have reportedly submitted an official loan proposal to Wolves for the Super Eagles forward.

The 25-year-old joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Belgian side Genk and remains under a long-term contract at Molineux.

However, reports suggest Wolves are open to allowing the striker to leave on loan after a challenging spell in England, with the club undergoing changes following their relegation from the Premier League.

Trabzonspor’s interest in Arokodare is not new, as the striker was previously monitored by other Turkish clubs, including Beşiktaş.

A potential move to the Istanbul side did not happen previously due to transfer regulations.

Negotiations between Trabzonspor and Wolves are ongoing, with financial details expected to play a key role in determining whether the deal will be completed.

If an agreement is reached, Arokodare could become the latest Nigerian striker to feature in the Turkish top flight, joining a growing list of Super Eagles forwards who have made an impact in the league.
