Sevilla make transfer decision on Super Eagles striker Adams after breakthrough campaign

Spanish club Sevilla FC have reportedly informed Super Eagles striker Akor Adams of their intention to sell him during the summer transfer window, with the Nigerian forward now expected to seek a new club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Adams, who joined the Andalusian side from Montpellier HSC during the winter transfer window in 2025, quickly established himself as one of Sevilla's most influential players in the recently concluded campaign.

The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive season in Spain, scoring 10 goals and registering three assists in 32 La Liga appearances.

His contributions proved vital as Sevilla successfully secured their top-flight status after a challenging campaign.

His outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several European clubs and significantly increasing his market value, with the Nigerian now regarded as one of the club's most valuable assets.

Reports in France and Spain have linked the former Montpellier striker with a possible return to Ligue 1, with Olympique de Marseille believed to be among the clubs monitoring his situation.

According to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla have already informed Adams of their willingness to sanction his departure this summer as the club seeks to generate funds and comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Despite the club's stance, Adams is reportedly keen to remain at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, where he believes he still has room to continue his development and establish himself further in La Liga.

However, the Nigeria international is also understood to be open to a transfer should a suitable offer emerge, one that satisfies Sevilla's financial demands while also meeting his sporting ambitions and economic expectations.
