Chuba Akpom and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are set to work under new management at their respective clubs ahead of the upcoming season.
Akpom, who recently completed a permanent move to newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town, will begin a new chapter under head coach Gary O’Neil.
In a statement on the club’s official website, the 43-year-old Englishman was officially confirmed as Ipswich manager following the departure of Kieran McKenna, bringing with him Premier League experience from his previous roles at Bournemouth and Wolves, as well as a recent spell in European competition with Strasbourg.
O’Neil is expected to oversee Ipswich’s return to top-flight football with a focus on stability and player development as the club prepares for a demanding Premier League campaign.
Akpom, formerly of Middlesbrough and Ajax, will be looking to cement his place in Ipswich’s attacking setup under the new regime after his summer switch.
The striker is expected to play a key role in the club’s bid to remain competitive following promotion.
Meanwhile, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, who continues his development in Italy’s Serie A with Lazio, is set for a fresh chapter at the Stadio Olimpico after the club, in a statement on its official website, confirmed Gennaro Gattuso as head coach ahead of the upcoming season.
The former AC Milan and Napoli manager succeeds Maurizio Sarri.
Dele-Bashiru, a dynamic midfielder known for his physical presence and forward runs, is expected to be assessed by the new coaching staff as part of Lazio’s pre-season restructuring.
The Nigeria international will be hoping to secure a more prominent role under Gattuso’s management philosophy, which typically emphasizes intensity and tactical discipline.
