PL new boys Hull City yet to open talks for Ndidi amid links to Super Eagles captain

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Hull City are yet to open formal talks over a move for Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, despite reports linking the newly promoted Premier League side with the experienced Nigerian international.

Reports from Turkey had suggested that the Championship play-off winners, backed by owner Acun Ilıcalı, were preparing an ambitious midfield overhaul ahead of their return to England’s top flight.

Turkish outlet Fanatik reported that the Super Eagles captain had emerged as a potential target as Hull City look to add proven Premier League quality to their squad.

However, sources close to the situation indicate that no negotiations have taken place between Hull City and the player’s camp, with the club yet to make an official approach.

Ndidi, who is currently contracted to Beşiktaş following his move away from England, remains one of the most experienced defensive midfielders linked with a Premier League return due to his years of consistency and physical presence in the English game.

Despite this, Hull City are understood to still be in the early stages of their recruitment planning.

The club’s hierarchy is carefully mapping out targets that fit both their financial framework and tactical needs ahead of a demanding Premier League season.

Midfield reinforcement remains a key objective, but the Tigers are expected to weigh multiple options before committing to any high-profile pursuit.

Ndidi’s profile is admired for his ball-winning ability and top-flight experience, yet discussions at this stage remain internal rather than concrete.
