Versatile Nigerian midfielder Abdussalam Magashy opened his goalscoring account for the 2026 Allsvenskan season on matchday 11.
Comfortable operating as both an attacking midfielder and a forward, Magashy was on target as Kalmar FF cruised to a convincing 3-0 victory over Örgryte IS at Guldfågeln Arena on Sunday, July 5.
The goal ended a lengthy scoring drought for the FC Heart Academy product, who had not found the net for Kalmar since June 14, 2025, before Örgryte IS' visit.
Kalmar took an early lead after four minutes as Carl Gustafsson finished off a move initiated by Magashy's ball recovery and Charles Sagoe Jr's assist, with the 1-0 scoreline remaining unchanged until half-time.
Arsenal loanee Charles Sagoe Jr was also involved in Kalmar's second goal a minute after the restart when he fed Magashy, who finished clinically.
Rony Jansson put the result beyond doubt in the 84th minute, adding a third goal to complete Kalmar's 3-0 victory.
Making his 60th official appearance for Kalmar since joining from AIK, Magashy was substituted in the 70th minute, with Aboubacar Keita taking his place.
After 11 matches in the Allsvenskan, Kalmar sit 12th in the table with 13 points ahead of next Sunday's away trip to Hammarby.
