With a statement on the official website, Bulgarian First League outfit Botev Plovdiv have confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Michael Okoh.
Okoh has switched to the two-time Bulgarian champions from Greek club Asteras Aktor, where he spent two years playing for their first and reserve teams.
The 23-year-old is the seventh player signed by Botev Plovdiv in the summer transfer window, after Asen Chandarov, Georgi Milanov, Dimitar Tonev, Todor Nedelev, Bogdan Kostov and Timothy Awany, who all joined as free agents.
The Yellow-Blacks revealed that an undisclosed transfer fee was paid to Asteras Aktor for the rights of the Nigerian.
A product of Nigerian club Divine Praise, Okoh represented Slovan Liberec and Mosta before transferring to Asteras Aktor in August 2024.
Botev Plovdiv confirmed that their brand new signing has been allocated the number 9 jersey for the 2026-2027 campaign.
Okoh links up with Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu, Chimezie Williams, Ifenna Dorgu and Bryan Hein at Botev Plovdiv.
Botev Plovdiv have recorded three consecutive victories in their pre-season games and take on Chernomorets Burgas at the Nikola Shterev - Starika Football Complex on Wednesday.
