Championship side Derby County have won the race to sign tri-national striker Troy Kristiansen Ogedengbe, fending off interest from Everton.
The Rams confirmed on their official website on Wednesday that the English-Norwegian-Nigerian forward is among the club's new intake of first-year scholars for the 2026-27 season.
According to Kent Online, Ogedengbe, a former Kent youth sprint champion, signed a two-year scholarship with Derby County despite attracting strong interest from Everton.
The highly rated youngster opted for Derby after deciding the club offered the best pathway for his long-term development.
Eligible to represent Nigeria through his father, Ogedengbe spent two years in Gillingham's academy before making the switch to Pride Park.
Renowned for his pace, power and natural finishing ability, the young striker is regarded as a constant attacking threat.
His explosive speed and clinical finishing make him a difficult opponent for defenders to contain.
During the 2026-27 campaign, Ogedengbe will feature for Derby County's U18 side in the U18 Premier League and various domestic cup competitions.
Another Nigerian attacker, Theo Olofingbuaro, has also been included in Derby County's intake of first-year scholars.
