Super Eagles duo Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina will be managed by a new coach in the forthcoming season, with Premier League club Nottingham Forest confirming the appointment of Oliver Glasner as the club's new head coach.
Glasner, who won the John Duncan Award after leading Crystal Palace to their first major trophy and was named Premier League Manager of the Month for September 2025, had already confirmed that he would not extend his contract with the Eagles.
The Austrian tactician has reportedly signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest until the end of the 2028-2029 season.
Glasner, who won the Conference League with Crystal Palace and Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt, is set to become the highest-paid manager in Forest's history, and one of the highest-paid in the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest began last season under Nuno Espírito Santo but dismissed the Portuguese manager in September, replacing him with Ange Postecoglou, whose reign lasted just 39 days before Sean Dyche took charge on October.
Dyche was dismissed on in February and succeeded by Vitor Pereira, who was also relieved of his duties after a break clause in his contract was triggered.
Aina and Awoniyi were not included in the Super Eagles squads for the Unity Cup or the June friendlies against Poland and Portugal, meaning they are not entitled to additional time off and are expected to report for the start of pre-season.
