Italian Serie A newcomers Frosinone have reportedly reached an agreement with Bologna to sign Wisdom Amey on a season-long loan ahead of the 2026/2027 campaign.
Born to a Togolese father and a Nigerian mother, the 20-year-old enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Serie C side Pianese during the 2025/2026 season.
The promising centre-back established himself as a key figure with a series of composed defensive performances, combining his physical strength and technical quality to help the club secure a place in the Serie C promotion playoffs.
Amey made 27 appearances across all competitions for Pianese, with his consistent displays attracting interest from several Italian clubs.
His performances also fueled speculation over his future at Bologna, where he remains one of the club's highly rated young defenders.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Frosinone have now reached an agreement with Bologna to sign Amey on a loan deal until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
The agreement does not include an option to make the move permanent.
Before completing the switch, the young defender signed a new contract extension with Bologna, committing his future to the Serie A club until the summer of 2027.
The extension reflects Bologna's confidence in his long-term potential while allowing him to continue his development with regular first-team football.
Frosinone viewed Amey's arrival as an important addition to strengthen their defensive options for the new Serie A season.
The move is expected to provide the highly rated centre-back with valuable top-flight experience as he continues his progression in Italian football.
