With a statement on the official website, Italian Serie A giants Juventus have announced that The Bianconeri have finalised an agreement with Genoa for the permanent transfer of Nigeria-eligible forward Jeff Ekhator.
The Genoa-born attacker has signed a multi-year contract with Juventus, until June 30, 2031.
An Italy international, Ekhator is still eligible to represent the Super Eagles, with his only appearance for the four-time world champions coming in a friendly game against Greece on June 7.
Players of Nigerian descent, including Benjamin Onwuachi and Paolo Gozzi Iweru, have represented Juventus in the past.
However, the most high-profile transfer involving a Nigerian player to the Old Lady came 27 years ago when former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh joined the Turin-based club from Ajax Amsterdam.
Ekhator has sealed a transfer to Juventus after making 54 appearances for Genoa in the Serie A, recording four goals and an assist.
No player born in 2006 has made more Serie A appearances over the last two seasons than Ekhator, who is also the youngest Italian to record 50+ outings across Europe's top five leagues and second divisions.
Ekhator has been described as a striker blessed with great physicality, pace and the ability to operate across the entire attacking line
