One of the standout performers at the ongoing World Cup, Yasin Ayari, is looking forward to welcoming Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna to Brighton & Hove Albion and has promised to help the forward settle at the Premier League club.
The Seagulls have agreed a deal to sign Zadok, beating competition from the likes of Newcastle United and Chelsea for his services.
The attacker ended his stint with AIK by signing a five-year contract that will run until June 30, 2031.
Yasin Ayari was the star of the show in Sweden's opener against Tunisia, opening and closing the scoring in a 5-1 victory at the Estadio Monterrey.
The Brighton midfielder has a strong connection with AIK, having spent more than a decade at the Stockholm-based club, while his younger brother Taha Ayari currently represents the Swedish outfit.
Ayari is excited about the prospect of sharing a dressing room with Zadok and has vowed to help the teenage winger settle into life at Brighton.
"It'll be fun. I haven't seen much of him in the Allsvenskan, but it'll be fun to start and see how he does," Ayari said to Fotbollskanalen.
"I'll look after him, but a lot of people will look after him. It's a family club, so it should be fine."
Zadok earned a high-profile move to the Seagulls following a blistering start to the 2026 Allsvenskan season, recording five goal involvements in his first seven appearances.
