Granada confirm signing of highly-rated Nigerian striker who scored 34 goals last season

Granada have officially confirmed the signing of highly-rated Nigerian striker Chinaza Marvellous Onouha Okonyia, adding a promising young attacking talent to their ranks.

The 2005-born forward arrives after an impressive season with UP Plasencia, where he played a pivotal role in the club's promotion-winning campaign.

The Cáceres-based side finished as champions of the Primera Extremeña, earning a place in the Tercera RFEF, with Chinaza emerging as one of the standout performers throughout the season.

The Nigerian attacker enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 34 goals across all competitions.

His tally included 23 league goals, seven strikes in the Copa Extremadura and four goals during the two promotion playoff matches.

His consistency in front of goal saw him finish as the division's top scorer, registering 23 goals in 23 league appearances and maintaining an outstanding one-goal-per-game ratio.

His performances made him a key figure in UP Plasencia's successful promotion push.

Chinaza will begin his Granada journey with the club's reserve team, which endured difficulties in attack last season.

The young forward's arrival is expected to provide a much-needed attacking boost as the team looks to improve its fortunes and challenge for promotion.
