Nigerian attacker Blessed Edomwnoyi has marked a significant milestone in his career by signing his first professional contract with Italian Serie A side Atalanta, announcing the achievement on social media.
The 2010-born forward earned promotion to play above his age group last season, featuring for Atalanta in the National U17 Championship.
He has committed his future to the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2029.
Born in Ferrara, Edomwnoyi made the move to Atalanta's academy in Zingonia in 2024, having come through the youth ranks at SPAL and ACD Pontelagoscuro.
What makes him such a dangerous player is his explosive pace on the wing.
He can burst past defenders almost effortlessly, using his acceleration to turn even the tightest situations into attacking opportunities.
Reacting to his new deal on Wednesday, Edomwnoyi posted on Instagram: "Today is an important day for me. I signed my first professional contract with Atalanta.
"I thank the director, the Percassi family, and my agent for their trust. I thank my family for always believing in me, especially in the most difficult moments, and for teaching me that everything deserved comes with patience and humility.
"This is just a starting point; the best is yet to come."
Blessed Edomwnoyi is expected to be promoted to Atalanta U17s on a permanent basis in the forthcoming season.
