With a statement on the official website, 2025-2026 Polish Ekstraklasa champions Lech Poznan have announced the departure of three players who represented the club last season, including Nigerian forward Taofeek Ismaheel.
The Górnik Zabrze-owned attacker joined Lech Poznań on loan during the summer transfer window on a deal that included an option to buy, reportedly set at €1.5 million.
However, Lech Poznań have decided against making the move permanent after failing to reach an agreement with his parent club over a reduced transfer fee.
The Nigerian gave a good account of himself during his loan spell at Poznań, particularly in European competition.
In the UEFA Conference League, the 25-year-old registered six goal involvements, (3 goals, 3 assists), underlining his attacking influence on the continental stage.
His impact in the Ekstraklasa was more limited, where he managed one goal and one assist.
Overall, he made 34 appearances for the Railwaymen, with nine of those coming from the bench as a substitute.
A product of HB Abuja, Taofeek lists Skeid, Fredrikstad, Lorient, Vålerenga and Beveren as his previous clubs.
Taofeek has entered the final year of his contract with Górnik Zabrze.
