Trabzonspor are looking to strengthen their attack again after the success of Paul Onuachu, with the Turkish Super Lig club now in discussions over another Nigerian forward who was included in the Super Eagles' provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to Turkish newspaper Yeniçağ, citing Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Trabzonspor have started negotiations with Italian club Pisa for the transfer of Rafiu Durosinmi.
It has been claimed that the 23-year-old may leave Pisa despite joining the club in the January transfer window for a transfer fee of 9 million euros.
Blessed with a towering 1.92-metre stature and excellent timing in the air, Durosinmi regularly rises above defenders to score with headers or flick teammates through, drawing comparisons with Paul Onuachu.
Following their relegation to Serie B, Pisa are prepared to part ways with their Nigerian striker and are expected to demand a transfer fee in the region of €8–10 million.
Durosinmi has scored once and provided an assist in 12 Serie A matches in the second half of the season, while logging 430 minutes.
The Box2Box FC product has a contract with Pisa until the end of the 2029-2030 season.
He was previously linked with Benfica and West Ham United but a move did not materialise.
