The hour has come: What Onuachu must do to succeed Osimhen as Super Lig Goal King

All eyes will be on whether Paul Onuachu can deliver the goal needed in the Trabzonspor's final game of the season to secure the Super Lig's Goal King prize, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

In their final game of the season, Trabzonspor take on Gençlerbirliği at the Şenol Güneş Sports Complex on Sunday evening.

Heading into the fixture, Onuachu is level on 22 goals with Başakşehir's Eldor Shomurodov and three goals ahead of Fenerbahçe's Anderson Talisca in the race for the Süper Lig Goal King award.

The Uzbekistan captain took his season tally to 22 with a goal against Gaziantep FK, thereby drawing level with Onuachu, who had previously stood alone at the top of the goalscoring charts.

The Nigeria international is currently enduring a goal drought, having failed to score in his last six appearances across all competitions—two in the Turkish Cup and four in the Süper Lig.

His most recent goal came against league champions Galatasaray on April 4, 2026, over a month ago.

Whether Onuachu will succeed Victor Osimhen as the Süper Lig's Goal King, or share the honour with Eldor Shomurodov, will be determined around 20:00 Nigerian time on Sunday.
