Rotherham and Newport among clubs interested in Watford's Nigerian forward available for zero naira

Nigerian forward Tobi Adeyemo is attracting interest from clubs across England, Scotland and Europe as he prepares to leave Watford at the end of the month, according to Sky Sports

The 21-year-old will become a free agent when his contract expires on June 30,2026 making him an appealing option for clubs seeking attacking reinforcements without paying a transfer fee.

Among the clubs monitoring Adeyemo's situation are Rotherham United, Newport County and several other English Football League sides.

An unnamed team from the Scottish Premiership are also keen on securing his services ahead of the new season

As a Hornets player, Adeyemo enjoyed loan spells at Hitchin Town and Wealdstone, and spent the second half of the 2025-2026 campaign at Crawley Town, where he scored once in twelve outings in the League Two.

The Nigerian attacker's availability has also attracted interest from abroad, with Cypriot outfit Omonia 29 already tabling an offer, while a Belgian club is also in the race to sign the forward.

With multiple options on the table, Adeyemo is expected to assess his next move carefully as he weighs opportunities in England, Scotland, Cyprus and Belgium.

He leaves Watford after making five first team appearances, with his final outing for the club coming against Reading in February 2023.
