Eighteen players have reported for international duty in Warsaw as the Super Eagles begin preparations for their friendly against Poland, with Wilfred Ndidi, Paul Onuachu and Frank Onyeka among the early arrivals, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The training camp opened in the Polish capital on Monday, June 1, with manager Eric Chelle overseeing 16 of the 18 players during the evening session.
The remaining invitees include goalkeepers Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and Arthur Okonkwo; defenders Emmanuel Fernandez, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi, Igoh Ogbu and Bruno Onyemaechi; midfielders Tochukwu Nnadi and Raphael Onyedika; and forwards Moses Simon, Akor Adams, Terem Moff and Rafiu Durosinmi.
As of 18:47 Nigerian time, Abdullahi Ibrahim had also reported to camp, further increasing the size of the group ahead of Wednesday's friendly.
The squad has been affected by a series of withdrawals ahead of the friendly against Poland, with marquee forwards Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen unavailable due to personal reasons and club-related commitments respectively.
Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Femi Azeez and Samson Tijani were also considered for the June friendlies despite their omission from the initial roster announced twelve days ago.
The Super Eagles began their summer schedule with a comfortable 2–0 victory over Zimbabwe's Warriors on May 26, before retaining the Unity Cup four days later with a commanding 3–0 win over Jamaica's Reggae Boyz at The Valley in London.
