'I want all the best to play' - Hammarby captain regrets absence of AIK teenage star Zadok

Hammarby IF captain Nahir Besara has expressed disappointment at the absence of Zadok Yohanna ahead of the highly anticipated clash with AIK in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon.

Zadok will not be available for selection after sustaining a thigh injury during AIK's 4-2 defeat to Djurgårdens IF on May 10.

The 18-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation and has been ruled out for the remainder of the spring season, including Sunday's clash against Hammarby IF and the final fixture before the World Cup break against IK Sirius.

AIK refused to release the forward to the Nigeria Football Federation for the upcoming Unity Cup even through the winger was initially included in the squad list.

Speaking ahead of the match, Besara admitted he would have preferred to face AIK's strongest squad.

"I wish he had played. I want all the best to play all the time. Football is for the audience and the fans and we always want to face the best because then you show what level you are at," he said to Sportsbladet.

Before his spell on the sidelines, several clubs across Europe's top five leagues were keeping tabs on Zadok.

The youngster has made an impressive start to the season, registering two goals and three assists in seven Allsvenskan appearances so far.
