Raphael Onyedika has returned to Club Brugge for pre-season training despite ongoing speculation linking him with a move away from the Belgian champions.
Through official channels, Club Brugge confirmed on Monday morning that the Super Eagles star has reunited with his teammates.
The FC Ebedei product was granted an extended holiday following his international commitments with the Super Eagles this summer.
Onyedika came off the bench in Nigeria's 2-2 draw against Poland before making another substitute appearance in the high-profile friendly against Portugal.
Eintracht Frankfurt's interest in Onyedika has remained strong over the past two transfer windows, and the Nigeria international is once again a leading target this summer, according to Kicker.
While discussions have yet to reach an advanced stage, Frankfurt are eager to bolster their defensive midfield options after identifying the position as a weakness in recent seasons, making Onyedika a prime candidate to strengthen the squad.
The former FC Midtjylland man has a contract with Club Brugge until June 30, 2027.
Club Brugge's first competitive match of the new season will be the Belgian Super Cup clash against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on July 31.
